Today I read an article on USA Today about an Ohio police officer shooting a 13 year old boy who drew a BB gun. The officers received a report about a robbery than involved a gun. There were three people who fit the description that they were going to take into custody. However, when approached, a group of men fled and one apparently reached for his waistband while on the run. The police officers thought he was reaching for a gun but later found out that it was a BB gun. They shot the young man down and later found out that he was a 13 year old boy named Tyree King. Here is a quote from the police statement:

"Officers followed the males to the alley ... and attempted to take them into custody when one suspect pulled a gun from his waistband. One officer shot and struck the suspect multiple times,"the police statement said.
