News Post 6

Today I read an article on USA Today called the Epipen Maker Ties Bonuses to Profit Targets. This article is about how Mylan (MYL) has raised the prices of EpiPens in order to get more profit from the company. Epipens have the ability to save many people's life, this is why there is so much controversy over this topic. The price has risen from less than 400 dollars to now over 600 dollars. They predict that this change would make a potential $82 million increase for the top five executives.
According to the Article, "Mylan management might see EpiPen price hikes as a way to make the aggressive targets." After ongoing debate the company finally decided to release a generic version of the EpiPen for half the price of the name- brand.
